Addison is a town located in Dallas County, Texas (USA). As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 14,166. Addison is a northern suburb of Dallas.

Residents are served by either the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District or the Dallas Independent School District, though no public schools operate within the town limits.

Because of Addison's overwhelmingly commercial atmosphere, residents of Addison enjoy a unique lifestyle not common in other suburbs. Addison's rush hour is often between 12-2 pm on weekdays and 6-9 pm on weekends due to the concentration of restaurants.
